Most pneumatic devices require lubrication with oil to ensure problem-free operation. Maintenance units/mist lubricators enrich the compressed air flow with a specific quantity of oil. The oil mist generated is then deposited in the pneumatic devices and performs the lubrication.

This also significantly extends the consumer (compressed air tool) service life.
