- During testing of GRANIT double heart shares, a material investigation using optical emission spectroscopy, plus a hardness analysis, was carried out. This test led to the conclusion that an engineering steel (26 Mn Cr 6-3) with a hardness of 521 (HV1) is used. The use of this material in conjunction with the high hardness value means that the double heart share is highly wear resistant, but flexible enough to perform well in adverse soil conditions.
