Are the spikes really tight?
Yes! When properly installed, the spikes will not loosen even in the most difficult situations. MaxiGrip® studs have been developed and tested for five years, on road tractors as well as off-road motorcycles, snowmobiles and shoes.
Won't the tire be damaged?
No! Measure the tread depth of the tire before mounting. Larger tires usually provide enough clearance to install studs. However, do not use studs that are longer than the tread depth (height of the rubber stud). Since the studs are mounted so that they protrude 3 mm, the tire cord is not at risk.
Can the studs be used more than once?
Yes! This is one of your advantages. The spikes leave only minor marks on the tire when they are removed.
How many spikes are needed?
Basically, we recommend 100 per tractor tire. For tires with tractor tread, mount two or three studs per lug alternately. A tire usually has 40 studs, regardless of the tire diameter. Tires for industrial and construction vehicles often require 150 studs per tire. Note that it is primarily the customer's needs and the particular application situation that determine the number of studs.
What if you drive a lot on asphalt?
The carbide (HM) model is very suitable for short asphalt trips, but for longer trips they should be removed.
The X model is intended for gravel and ice.
